Opening Summer 2025 – the opportunity to join the pre-opening team of 1 Hotel Copenhagen and bring a transformative brand to Denmark. 

1 HotelCopenhagen is centrally located at the intersection of the city’s vibrant Latin Quarter and its historic heart; it will feature 282 rooms including 30 suites. With a Green-Michelin-starred Chef at the helm, the property will also feature locally sourced, seasonal cuisine as eclectic as the city itself at the signature restaurant and bar. Guests and locals alike can find tranquility in the nature-inspired Bamford Wellness Spa, connected with the natural world in the property’s urban garden complete an on-site beehotel, or embark on an adventure, exploringCopenhagen's rich tapestry of parks and museums on bike. 

The Head Bartender at Pære is responsible for overseeing all aspects of bar operations, ensuring exceptional service, innovative beverage offerings, and a well-trained, motivated team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the F&B Management team to create seasonal cocktail menus, manage day-to-day operations, and maintain high standards of service while driving growth.  

About you… 

  • Proven experience in bar management within the hospitality industry, specializing in overseeing daily bar operations. 
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, able to inspire, motivate, and guide a team to deliver exceptional service. 
  • In-depth knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverage trends, with a passion for creativity and innovation in drink preparation. 
  • Skilled in training bar staff, ensuring continuous improvement and high performance. 
  • Hands-on experience with a wide range of bar equipment and machinery. 
  • Proven ability to develop unique cocktail recipes and culinary skills to enhance the overall bar experience. 
  • Lead tastings, menu presentations, and staff education sessions on new cocktails and seasonal updates, engaging and educating the team. 
  • Collaborative mindset, working closely with culinary and purchasing teams to source high-quality ingredients and maintain inventory. 
  • Committed to compliance with Danish health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for staff and guests. 
  • Familiarity with working under a collective agreement in Denmark is an asset. 
  • Flexible to the demands of a dynamic 24-hour operation. 
  • Fluency in English is required.
